Leadership is a relational venture. Using Dr. Howard Bath’s three pillars of Trauma Wise practice, the presenter will share their journey of bringing relational practices into a community mental health setting, empowering executives to understand the role of attachment theory in how we see and navigate relationships and the world around us.

About Leah Gilliam:
Leah is the Senior Director of Trauma Wise Practices for My Health My Resources of Tarrant County (MHMRTC), where she focuses on implementing the three pillars of trauma-wise care across the organization's programs, culture, and leadership. Leah is currently leading the organization through a transformation to embed the principles of trauma-informed care into all aspects of its operations. Leah previously directed a foster care and adoption program, focusing specifically on the implementation of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®). TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. Leah is a mentor and adjunct professor for the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University (TCU), where she trains professionals and students globally in TBRI®.
