Trauma Wise Leadership: Meeting the Attachemnt Needs of Staff and Clients

    Pre-Conference Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Treating Trauma in Children, Teens and Adults with Trust Based Relational Intervention

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention developed to meet the complex needs of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other early adversity.

Created at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University, TBRI® is designed to help caregivers understand and respond to the underlying needs driving a child’s behavior.

Although initially developed to treat children, TBRI®, has since been used with success with other populations including adolescents in residential treatment and juvenile detention facilities and incarcerated adults.

TBRI® equips parents, educators, and professionals with practical tools to build trust, promote felt safety, and support healing through healthy relationships.

Whether you are TBRI® Certified or TBRI® curious this Pre-Conference is for you!

Trust Based Relational Intervention has been widely dispersed throughout Oklahoma. Whether you are a TBRI® Certified Practioner curious about TBRI's growth, looking for a refresher, or are just curious about TBRI® this Pre-Conference is for you!

    Local and KPICD Speakers

We are excited to have both local professionals who are well versed in TBRI® , as well as, speakers endorsed by the Karyn Purvis Institute coming to speak!
