Information Psychiatrists Would Like to Share With You

This workshop proposes to review 10 classes of medicine/interventions for mental health. Additionally, we will discuss common side effect, pitfalls, and strategies for each class. We will also review therapist-undertaken interventions that are helpful and collaborative, including patient education and consulting the prescriber, detailing routes that avoid triangulation and lead to empowerment of the therapeutic relationship.
Objective:
- Awareness of 10 classes of medicine/interventions for mental health concerns observable characteristics of each class that merit coordination with the prescriber psychopharmacologic education that falls in the realm of the therapy relationship.
