This continuing education training is designed to prepare Clinical Supervisors in behavioral health settings to approach supervision through a Resiliency-Based framework. Participants will explore the evolving understanding of resiliency within the behavioral health workforce and examine how supervisory practices can intentionally strengthen resilience in clinicians facing ongoing occupational stressors as well as factors that contribute to professional longevity, job satisfaction, and retention in the field. There will be a particular emphasis on the supervisory relationship as a protective factor.

About Christina Boyd, LSCSW, LCAC:
Christina is a clinical social worker as well as a clinical addictions counselor who has worked in the behavioral health field for over 29 years. She is currently an Associate Professor of the Practice for the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and also serves as the Liaison to Rural Communities. She is a collaborating faculty member with KU Medical Center Project ECHO. She is a master trainer for the ATTC network and serves as a content expert on prevention and treatment with the Opioid Response Network State Targeted Response. She continues to reside in Western Kansas and is passionate about equity of health resources in rural areas as she continues to pursue her mission of helping people find their happy.
