The body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), such as hair pulling and skin picking, are frequently under identified, despite causing high amounts of distress and impairment. Thankfully, they can be treated effectively using behavioral therapies. In this workshop, attendees will learn the basics of Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and how to implement this with clients from children to adults.

About Dr. Caleb Lack
Caleb W. Lack, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology, the Counseling Psychology MA program coordinator, and the Counseling Psychology & MFT practicum coordinator in the Department of Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma. A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Lack is the author or editor of eight books on topics from critical thinking and pseudoscience to racism and sexism in early psychology to various kinds of psychopathology. He has also authored more than 65 scientific publications relating to the assessment and treatment of psychological problems such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette’s Syndrome, pediatric mood disorders, and posttraumatic stress (PTSD). In addition, Dr. Lack regularly presents nationwide and internationally at conferences on a variety of topics, is on the editorial board of scientific journals, and is a reviewer for both journals and granting agencies.
