Reflective Supervision: A Systemic Approach

Presented by Samantha Carlton, LMFT

 This session will explore reflective supervision as a systemic process. Self-of-the-therapist and self-of-the-supervisor topics will be emphasized in this interactive workshop. 


Objectives

  •  Gain a deeper understanding of reflective supervision and its benefits in training supervisees. 
  •  Explore how systemic influences, including family-of-origin dynamics shape supervision. 
  •  Develop strategies to integrate reflective practices in supervision settings. 
  •  Engage in experiential exercises to deepen self-awareness and reflective capacity in supervision. 


About Samantha Carlton

 Samantha D. Carlton is a licensed marital and family therapist and supervisor in Oklahoma, AAMFT Clinical Fellow, and AAMFT designated supervisor candidate. She is also the program coordinator for the University of Central Oklahoma's MFT program. Throughout her career, Samantha has pursued extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapies (EFT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and primarily works with couples and individuals who have endured more than most. When she's not working, Samantha is usually with her family, reading, painting, or doing Pilates.
